DE PARME DESIGN is about finding solutions based on a unique creative vision. To design is to solve. Creating a form involves exploring the materials and studying the craft to discover the core. This is not just about vision; it is about dealing with connections, between ideas and material, concept and maker. The synergy that develops when working together is an essential aspect of this.

DE PARME DESIGN was founded by HRH Margarita princess de Bourbon de Parme. Her family descends from both a southern European (Italy and Spain) and a northern European branch (France and Germany). In her designs she unites cultural differences. On the one hand more emotionally intense (‘southern’), on the other with a ‘northern’ design signature and idiom which may be described as leaning towards sobriety, a clear line and the simplicity of this linear interplay.

De Parme Designs often refer to our inseparable bond with nature. The interplay of light and shade casts a beguiling spell and remains a crucial element in every design.

ADMIRATION AND AMAZEMENT

Nothing can match the power of the spirit of inquiry and curiosity. A fascination for ethnography and anthropology is the foundation for a love of travel: discovering new countries and meeting new people. Through studying traditional crafts, customs and rituals, techniques and use of materials. The reciprocity of each encounter necessitates an open mind.
